Online Health History - How to Enable Cookies
 

A cookie is a small piece of information stored by your browser to help identify you. Many online applications use cookies to keep you signed in as you move from page to page, among other things. If your browser is set to reject all cookies automatically, you won't be able to sign in to the Clinix Vault portal. Instead, you will see an error message directing you to this page. If your browser is set to not accept cookies, you will need to change it to accept (or "enable") cookies. These instructions should help you with that task.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Operating systems:
- Microsoft Windows

  1. Select Tools | Internet Options from the menu.
    (NOTE: If you do not have a menu bar, press the "Alt" key on your keyboard.)
  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. Ensure that the security level is set to Medium or Medium-Low.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Close and restart your browser.

Mozilla Firefox

Operating systems:
- PC:  Windows Vista, and 7
- Mac: OS X 10.5, 10.6, and 10.7
- Linux: Most Distros.

  1. Choose the menu option for your computer:
    - PC: Select Tools | Options.
    - Mac: Select Firefox | Options.
    (NOTE: If you do not have a menu bar, press the "Alt" key on your keyboard.)
  2. Select Privacy.
  3. Under "History," make sure the "Firefox will:" option is set to Remember history.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Close and restart your browser.

Apple Safari

Operating systems:
- PC Safari 5: Windows XP, Vista, and 7
- Mac Safari 5: Mac OS X 10.6 and 10.7

  1. Choose the menu option for your computer:
    - PC: Select Tools (Gear icon gear icon) | Preferences.
    - Mac: Select Safari (Gear icon gear icon) | Preferences
  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. If you see a "Block cookies" option, set it to Never.
  4. Close the "Preferences" window.
  5. Close and restart your browser.

Google Chrome

Operating systems:
- Windows XP, Vista, and 7
- Mac OS X 10.5, 10.6, and 10.7

  1. Select Tools  | Settings.
    - The "Settings" page displays.
    NOTE: The tools menu is access through an icon at the top, right corner of the browser.

  2. Scroll to the bottom, and click the Show advanced settings... link.
  3. Under "Privacy," select Content settings.
    - The "Content Settings" window displays.
  4. Under "Cookies," select Allow local data to be set.
  5. Click Done.
  6. Close and restart your browser.
